Ross Silcock is organizing a trip to the Chatham Islands in December 2007 to
see birds such as the Chatham (Shy) Albatross, Magenta Petrel, Shore Plover,
Forbe’s Parakeet, Chatham Gerygone, Black Robin and many others. The trip
will be on a cost-share basis and is tentatively scheduled for 8-12
December, depending on flight availability. The Chatham Islands are part of
the New Zealand subantarctic islands and are some 800 kilometres east of
Christchurch. Details of the trip can be found at HYPERLINK
"http://www.rosssilcock.com/NZTrips.htm"http://www.rosssilcock.com/NZTrips.h
tm. As I am already booked to go I hope there may be others willing to
spread the costs.
Regards,
Tania
