The results as shown from my book: "Canberra Birds: A Report on the first 21 years of the Garden Bird Survey" shows from the period July 1981 to June 2002, based on 1316 observer-years of data, the abundance of the Striated Pardalote has declined slightly, however the variability between years is significant and indeed a lot more than the actual decline. Therefore the overall decline is probably not significant. Similar for the Spotted Pardalote with the decline even less, on average it is almost stable. Philip |
