Greetings,Saw an immature Spotted Harrier this afternoon which had me vexed for a while. This is a very pale young bird with a bright white rump and dark face. The feathers on the legs are almost white and the head is dark. Seen in poor light one could be forgiven for getting very excited about it. Rows of dark spots on the wings rule out Papuan Harrier. Also ten adult Sarus Cranes and one Bustard. All in the Marks Lane area between Yungaburra and Atherton.
