G'day B'Ausers On 06/04/2007, at 7:31 PM, Edwin Vella wrote: Are there any over-wintering records of either White-throated Needletails orFork-tailed Swifts in Australia? Short answer yes. I listed the WTNT sightings for May to August in HANZAB Vol 4. 1074; and FTS same vol. p. 1085. WTNT. Possible over-wintering records n=29. Flock size = singles or two or three birds mostly but one flock of 20 and one of 35. FTS. Possible over-wintering records n=35. Flock size mostly 1-3, but two of 50 in Jul & Aug. One sighting from Tassie in Aug. Thanks to those who have sent in records in the last few days - are there any more?
