Message Below from Phil Hansbro who is currently on a ship somewhere near
Norfolk Island.

Today on 30th of March a large group of birders observed a Long-tailed Koel
in the Botanic Gardens on Norfolk Island. It was seen and heard severals
time throughout the morning by several observers.

Also the same group observed 2 birds with features that may be consistent
with White-chested White-eye. I am very keen to see any photos of birds or
skins that will help us with the identification. If anyone has such material
could you please email them to me at
I will be out of email contact until the 4th of April.

Phil Hansbro
