leech proofing

G'day

I worked at Lamington for a number of years and was introduced to Vicks 
Vaporub as a deterent. Place it everyehere around top of shoe and sock. 
It doesn't wash off like rid when it pours rain.Leeches hate it. Wearing 
a second pair of wik socks underneath normal socks keeps leeches out 
also and stops blistering  when hiking due to the tighter weave. Comfort 
is second to none - highly recommended. Socks available at any camping 
shop. Keep in mind leeches often sit on leaves up high and get in around 
your belt region etc. Rid can help here. Hope this is of use.Good luck
