Hi Keith and all,

It seems to be a good year for Red-capped Robins in this region, with a number of them sighted around the Blue Mountains over the past few months as well, including the pair I reported this week at Kings Tableland. Their appearance here in the mountains is usually related to drought.

Hi All, for those County listers in Sydney who have not got a Red-capped Robin on their list there was a pair at Castlereagh Nature Reserve yesterday. They were 400 metres along the path at the entrance on Northern Rd opposite the auto wreckers. This is a rare bird in the county these days.
