Hi all The latest episode was reported in weekend papers. E.g. http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,20867,21356116-2702,00.html http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,21353080-421,00.html 4 of the c 4000 dead birds have been tested and found to have died of lead poisoning. More corpses are to be tested to determine if lead was the cause in all or most cases. Lead particles have been found in the air monitoring systems at the port of Esperance where lead carbonate is exported. But the post mortems apparently cannot identify the source of the lead.
