Keith and all,I was once told ( can't remember who by ) that in the early days Brolga were found in the red-gum forests along the Murray, but since all the logging, ringbarking of old growth trees etc , the forest is now too thick with timber. Originally, when old growth trees were just a few to the hectare, the habitat was much more suitable. Makes sense to me, but this is just anecdotal. Cheers, Simon starr. |
