Grey or Pied

An immature Grey, I think. We had a pair hanging around the garden (Auchenflower) over spring summer that slowly turned adult over the course of this summer. Got quite acquainted with them. In their immature state, quite a lot of brown.

The pieds never seem to come into our garden. They are always hanging around in the tops of the big trees across the road and powerpoles rather than in the smaller trees in our garden.

The greys seem quite used to humans. We have a bird bath (in reality, just a large bowl full of water we put there for them) on the back deck and they will happily come and drink from it while we are sitting there.
