Had another nice morning at Bicentennial Park yesterday, seeing 41 species in a little over an hour. Highlights were spangled drongo (my first in BP), two black-shouldered kite hovering above the bird hide, great egret and white faced heron both in very nice plumage, red-rumped parrot in the usual spot near Lake Belvedere and very good views of red-browed finch. There were also many black faced cuckoo-shrike around, with flocks of up to 20 birds moving about. The pond in front of the hide is quite dry and all of the birds have retreated to the distant end. Conversely, the levels seem up in Lake Belvedere.
