Is the John Young embroiled in the fig parrot issue, the same person as the 
John Young whose efforts in the 1990s got sugar cane growers to put up owl 
boxes as a way of controlling rats, as an alternative to persistent 
rodenticide poisons ?
If so, we owe him a great debt - and respect.
