Hi all, Peter Shute asked what are the benefits of joining a bird club.
Cumberland Bird Observers Club of which I am a member goes from strength to
strength with approx 500 members. We run 30plus outings per year and have a
club meeting each month which is always well attended. We run beginners
outings, wave the flag at local functions , provide guides for a variety of
organisations have a extensive data base for the County of Cumberland, which is
increasingly being used by a multitude of organisations.
We publicise birds in the local news when ever there is a chance, and keep our
pulse on matters of conservation within the County.
There Peter, a whole list of reasons why you should join and support a bird
observers club.
