Dear all - My wife and kids were out for a walk today and got photos of a female mistletoe bird (unless there is something else here in NW Sydney that is incredibly small and has a red undertail). They say it appeared to hover briefly at times - my wife says it's the closest thing she's ever seen here to a hummingbird (saw them in the US in 2000 at my mother's house). My Morcombe just describes the flight as 'direct'. Can anybody elucidate on this matter? Thanks Gordon Cain Schofields (Blacktown) NW Sydney =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
