Hi All In response to information about nest box specifications for Australian birds, I can recommend the business Hollow Log Homes who have been designing, installing and monitoring nest boxes for many years. They have a book which recommends nest box dimensions (entrance hole size, depth of chamber, external perches) and installation guides (eg. south-facing and height above ground) for different native bird species. Obviously the requirements of a parrot vary from that of an owl. Their website is http://www.hollowloghomes.com.au/ Cheers, Deborah Metters, Brisbane. ==============================www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: ============================= |
