Philip Veerman has asked me to put up this message. He has heard a
report, apparently reliable, that feral Rose-ringed Parrots are nesting
at Research in Melbourne's outer northeast. Can anyone confirm this
observation?
Rose-ringed Parrots (or Parakeets) are considered highly undesirable
as an established breeding population, as they will compete for nesting
hollows with native species. Please inform authorities at once.
