Today there was a Fairy Tern at Penryhn Inlet. This bird had mated with a Little Tern though are not nesting yet. There are now 10 Little Tern nests, and are due to start hatching next week. This rain will hopefully keep disturbance from people down to a minimum though they still have to survive the cats and foxes. There was also a juvenile Kelp Gull present.
