Hi,

At Penryhn, next to Botany Container Terminal (that's in Sydney, of course)
this afternoon, 5 Little Terns evident, 2 of which rested in depressions =
nesting or just roosting, couldn't tell. Also 2 Curlew Sands, Sharpies,
Red-necked Stints, Red-capped Plovers, and Bar-tailed Godwits, among others.

Earlier, drove past the Qantas Jet Base, hoping to catch a glimse of another
bird, the just arrived B707-138, VH-XBA, which originally was the very first QF
jet, delivered in 1959. It's going to the Longreach Qantas Founders Museum, and
the restoration done by volunteers to get it airborne again is just
magnificent, together with support from all sorts of areas, Australian and
non-Australian!

Sorry, 2nd para not exactly birding, but.... :-)

Cheers
Peter Madvig
