Hi all
I visited Warriewood wetlands in Sydney's northern beaches this morning (Sun 26
Nov) from 5:45 to 7:45. There was no sign of the Little Bittern at the water
treatment ponds where it has been sighted recently - I was around that bit from
about 6:15 to 7:30am. Plenty of Black Ducks chasing each other around.
Perhaps the southerly change that came through overnight made it sleep in!

Also seen at the "main" part of the Wetlands were 2 Nankeen Night Heron (coming
into roost from somewhere over the shopping centre), a female Swamp Harrier,
several very visible White Throated Gerygones, Purple Swamphens and Dusky
Moorhen with very small chicks and in the swampy bit to the right of the
Casuarina Grove as one walks in, I flushed 4 Lathams Snipe.

Cheers
Tom Wilson
