Hi all,

I've just seen 2 Wedge-tailed Eagles soaring in the smoke filled skies above
my home in Hazelbrook, Blue Mountains. There is a major back burn in
operation on at the moment in the upper mountains. Do you think they can
smell a Barbi, or escaping the smoke? We don't see them here all that often.
It was a very nervous looking wattlebird that alerted me to their presence,
so I can't take the credit.

If you want to know more about fire and see some photos.

Cheers
