I hope this doesn't get duplicated as I sent it from the wrong email address.

I just stopped in at Daisy Hill south of Brisbane to check on the Square-tailed
Kite nest and it appears that the young have fledged as the nest was empty.
When I first walked up I saw a bird that appeared to be sunning itself (wings
half open sort of like a darter/cormorant). The bird was backlit so I decided
to walk up the 4WD track to get a better look and when I looked up again the
bird was gone. No idea where it went. I then watched the nest for a while and
never saw anything.

The Tawny Frogmouths were still on the nest with 2 young at the base of the 4WD
track in the top of a snag.

Other than that not much to report. Thanks for everyone who has responded to
my RFI's of last night. I will post results in the next few weeks.

Best,
Drew
