Hi all,
After a tip off from a fellow birder who did a survey earlier today in the area
I saw my first Glossy Ibis for Phillip Island at Fisher's Wetland (on road into
Churchill Island) this afternoon. In the late afternoon sun it appeared al
colours of the rainbow and was truly "glossy" preening itself in the reeds se
of the observation deck near the carpark.
To top the afternoon/evening off I also saw a Latham's Snipe in a drain
running along the back of the Cowes industrial estate while I was doing a
survey along the unmade section of Dunsmore Rd.
