The main site is http://darwin-online.org.uk/, but one especially good
section of the site is

scroll down to the listing of sections included - there are several on
birds. You can opt to look at the modeern text, the images of the
orginal books, or both set side by side on the screen. The birds
sections of this many-volume set (which was edited by Darwin) were
written by John Gould and (after Gould left the UK for Australia) by
George Gray of the British Museum, with some additional notes by Darwin
himself. The colour plates are beautiful (towards the end of each of
the various sections).
Not the easiest site to navigate around, but worth the effort.
