Hello all In the diaries of Gracie Bowker, a birder from Port Fairy in the 1950s-early 1980s, she noted a breeding pair consisting of a Pied and a Sooty Oystercatcher. I don't recall what was produced, but a hybrid would presumable look something like the variation found in the Variable Oystercatcher (of course!).
