Folks,

The Little Terns are back (and covered in more bling than an Eminem concert
crowd) ! "More on that story later.."

Penrhyn am (on the spit - no not a cooking spit..although...)

49 BTG
6 Red Knot
2 Sharpies
2 Curlew Sandpiper
1 Crested Tern

Eastlakes am
Of note:

2 Whiskered Tern
1 Caspian Tern
15 Sharpies
10 Snipe

Penrhyn pm (on the spit)

55 BTG
6 Red Knot
2 Curlew Sandpiper
34 Crested Terns
1 WF Tern
3 Little Tern (at one stage there were all 3 species in a line along the shore)
15 RN Stint
2 Pelican
1 Australian Ibis (feeding on bait from a washed up bag)

+20 Sharpies (adjacent to oyster bed under a mangrove bush) - I strongly
suspect that the Sharpies move back and forth from Penrhyn and Eastlakes (some
3kms apart).

Birds banded/flagged
1 Red Knot (same as previous)
1 RN Stint (same as previous)
NEW 3 Little Terns...

1st Little Tern Right tarsus grey metal band only
2nd Left red flag over blue/gray flag
Right orange flag over grey metal band
3rd Left pinkish white flag over Tiffany aquamarine flag
Right black flag over grey metal band

Toodleypippley birderinos!

Graham
