Folks, AM at Penrhyn on the sandspit (high tide, north-easterly breeze) with Tun Pin Ong: Bar-tailed Godwit 46 (46 yesterday) Red Knot 6 - 1 flagged orange right tibia, metal band left tarsus (8 yesterday) White-Fronted Tern 1 Crested Tern 26 (1 banded juv 07344214) Red-Necked Stint 0 P Golden Plover 3 Other terns Nil PM Much the same except by now low tide, near gale-force south easterly. Crested Terns reached 51. Up in the mangroves were 7 PGPs (up from 6 yesterday) sheltering from the wind.
