Hi all, Pete Kyne and myself ducked out to Samsonvale this morning in the hope of catching up with some King Quail. As we arrived the rain started, making for a wet slog out through the vegetation where the lake used to be. We flushed around 10 Brown Quail through the morning, I saw one male King Quail, and Pete ended up with 4 separate sightings including 2 males. Also of note was 30+ Sharp-tailed Sandpipers, 5 Glossy Ibis and a Horsfield's Bronze-Cuckoo.
