Folks, There was a Greenshank (juvenile? with obvious streaking on its chest and neck side) this morning at Penrhyn seen by Phil Straw, his wife and myself. I thought it was something else as my somewhat old lesser quality telescope was showing its legs as red-brown! Time for a new scope? I remember a similar problem with my previous binoculaurs. Anyway, Phil did not throttle me for getting him down to see it! Its apparently a first (in recent times at least) for Penrhyn. There was also a Curlew Sandpiper and a couple of Sharpies up Sandcliff Creek. Cheers, Graham Buchan ==============================www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: ============================= |
