I don't know as to how unusual the Grey Goshawk is but I'd not seen one before :-) and all my reference books indicate it is 'uncommon'. I had great views for a good 5 minutes on Wednesday 13/9 at 11am when this bird (grey morph) was both perching and flying. This was in a little known spot in North Ryde called Christie Park.
