Hi all,

Had an excellent trip up to Chiltern over the weekend with plenty of great
birds (especially Bartley¹s Block which is ³firing² at the moment).

Best birds recorded at Bartley¹s included Painted Honeyeater (1 or 2),
Western Gerygone, Swift Parrot (several), Turquoise Parrot (several),
Speckled Warbler (2) and White-bellied Cuckoo-shrike.

The Chiltern end of Bartley¹s was particularly alive with literally hundreds
of Silvereye, Yellow-tufted, Brown-headed, Fuscous, Black-chinned,
Yellow-faced, White-naped and White-plumed Honeyeater, Noisy and Little
Friarbird, Buff-rumped Thornbill, Mistletoebird and Spotted Pardalote.

Then around to Klotz track where one Regent Honeyeater was found amongst
hundreds of Noisy and Litte Friarbird (the forest along Klotz has isolated
patches of flowering ironbark).

Both Barking Owl and Boobook were recorded east of Chiltern.

Topped off a great 24 hours with a single Superb Parrot 15km north of
Nathalia,

Cheers,
Greg
