Grey Headed Lapwing

The Grey headed Lapwing was still present at Burren Grounds on 28th 29th 
August.  Mostly seen on those days opposite the blue "Burren Junction Grain 
Service centre" sign near the silos, in the drain beside the road.  The bird 
doesn't seem to mind the passing trucks and traffic but flies off when getting 
out of a vehicle.  The growth on the foot is very noticeable. Wendy Dunn Allan
