Graham, a Hyundai Getz is not a great car to be driving through the
outback, but the ST is pretty much a highway at Mt Lyndhurst, so should
be accessible for a 2WD. You should probably contact the owners of Mt
Lyndhurst before you go looking for the whiteface and grasswrens on
their property.

Hi all,
I find myself in SA next weekend for my first ever visit, so I'm
hiring a car and spending 3 days around Flinders/Lyndhurst. I want to
try and see Chestnut-banded Whiteface and many of the other birds
people target for the region.
My only concern is about the state of the Strzelecki Track. Is the
part of the Strzelecki Track that I'll need to travel drivable in a
small 2WD car (Hyundai Getz)?
Any 'recent' gen on birds of the area would be gratefully received too.
Many thanks,
Graham
