Hi Kevin,
I presume you are referring to the annual migration arrival. I am not sure about Cape Woolami, but

has some good information on the arrival dates for the Griffith Island colony at Port Fairy. I suspect the Cape Woolami dates would be very similar.

I visited the Port Fairy site a few years ago in January (in my pre-birding days). Once the birds are nesting they spend all day fishing at sea then return to the burrows at dusk. They assemble about 2 km off the island before dark, then in the last of the dusk they fly into the island and land in a concentrated "assault" over a short period of time. I estimated 90% of the landings took place in a period of about 15 minutes. They are absolutely silent in flight and the viewing platform is surrounded by burrows, so the air seems to be filled with birds. Perhaps the most memorable part of the experience was the awe of the children present, who just fell silent except for the occasional "Look mummy".
