Hi All,
Thanks to everyone that has already responded regarding the questionnaire
that sought information concerning the economics of birdwatchers travelling
to see the Grey-headed Lapwing.
Following an oversight by me it is necessary to clarify a couple of points
regarding this questionnaire.
Firstly, it is my intention to use the responses to the questionnaire for
research purposes, it is further my intention that a summary of the results
will be provided to respondents and that the results will be published in
academic journals.
My interest is in the aggregate data rather than the individual responses.
As such, responses to Question 2 (names of individuals that participated)
will be deleted from all files and will not form any part of the analysis or
subsequent dissemination of results.
Finally, if at any stage a participant wishes to withdraw they simply need
to contact me and I will ensure their contribution is removed from the data
set without any adverse consequences. The data collected will be stored
securely at Deakin University for at least six years.
Prof Harry Clarke, Department of Economics and Finance, La Trobe University
will be a co-investigator in this research.
Note that none of these points represents a change in my intentions; rather
to ensure everybody is fully informed as per the Deakin University Human
Research Ethics Committee guidelines there is a need for them to be
explicitly stated here.
