Hi all,

The thread on Corellas reminded me that I saw what I am convinced was a Western
Corella at Newry Island, Urunga (North Coast NSW) in 2004. It was obviously a
cage escapee and was with a group of Long-billed and Little Corellas. It
matched the illustration and description in the text in Slaters field guide and
I later checked HANZAB. Has anyone else observed these birds feral in eastern
Australia? Discussion with a local aviculturist indicated that there are at
least a few in captivity in NSW. Anyone know how common they are in captivity?

Is this revenge from WA for the eastern Corellas over there?

Regards

Greg Clancy
