Dear B-A's
I forgot to mention what I dipped on. Just as interesting a list as those I
got.
Scarlet-chested Parrot - Gluepot. I arrived 2 days after they were last seen
flying over the airstrip. Thanks to Peter Waanders for his regular updates
Inland Dotterel - Ned's Corner. I missed it on the night we stayed there and
again about a week later when I did a 160+km spotlighting trip from where we
were camped in Murray-Sunset.
Striated Grasswren - Saw one at Gluepot but as the trip was primarily to add to
my vic list I dipped on it at Hattah although I was with a group of researchers
that saw them but missed out.
Malleefowl - Looked hard around all the mallee parks but missed out. Even got
desperate and went to Little Desert Lodge but they only had captives there.
Spotted Harrier - how could I travel so many back roads in ideal habitat and
not see even 1????
Yours in all things "green"
Regards
