G'day All

Was at Wild Wings and Swampy things two days ago and saw a bf parrot-finch. It was feeding on grasses in an old reveg site that Allen and Barbara have worked on. This land has corridor to Mt Lewis as I understand and the site they were feeding in had similarities to the area there. Does anyone know of other records in this area. I came across a record from 1999 when one was seen near Brinsmead Glen around this time of year. It would not be surprising to see altitudinal movements in this area as other species such as Satin Bowerbird have also turned up at the same property on a rare occasion. If anyone wanted to go there, there is a charge to go in. GB Heron is also there frequently. First right after Barretts Ck on the way to the village.

Cheers
Dan Blunt
