Hi All, I am new to this list, having joined at the suggestion of Tom Tarrant. I have enjoyed reading the posts and am sure I will learn plenty. I have some images of a tern taking a piece of fish from the water. I was not sure of the identification, and Tom suggested that it was a juvenile Crested Tern. The yellowish bill and upper wing pattern seem consistent with this, but second opinions are welcome. There are two images at:- http://www.aviceda.org/abid/birdimages.php?p=18&action=birdimage&bid=534&fid=41&pagesize=1 and http://www.aviceda.org/abid/birdimages.php?p=19&action=birdimage&bid=534&fid=41&pagesize=1 Thanks Roger Giller ==============================www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: ============================= |
