Hi All,
A few days at Gluepot Reserve yielded good sightings of the usual
notables:
Chestnut Quail-thrush, Southern Scrub-robin, all 4 Whistlers including one
male Red-lored, and Striated Grass-wrens. Also a pair of Major Mitchell?s
Cockatoos and a flock of at least 20 Pied Honey-eaters.
Unfortunately the Scarlet-chested Parrots did not appear.
The birds are not calling much yet. The Mallees are starting to flower and
look like they will continue for some time.
Striated Pardalotes are present in large numbers.
