What a great diversity this morning at this popular tourist site. About
thirty species in ten minutes, including three local endemics. A green
ringtail possum added to the spectacle.
I have not seen an Atherton Scrubwren here for some months; well before the
cyclone. In fact I have not seen one at mid altitude at any site since the
blow. this is despite birds more common at higher altitudes being frequently
seen now at mid altitudes, 550 -750 metres. And our birds heading further
down the slope.
