Hi Greg
I was recently in Langkawi for work and met a guide there by the name
of Dev. Whilst he was based in Langkawi, i am pretty sure he did
trips on mainland Malaysia as well. If not he would probably be a
good lead.

He was a great guy and certainly knew his birds.
The field guide i was gratefully recommended by members of this list
(and bought) was Birds of South-East Asia by Craig Robson.
Only problem with that one is that it covers a large area and doesn't
have distribution maps. Apart from that it is a great resource.
Cheers

Gooday birders
We may be stopping over at Kuala Lumpur for a day or two in the near
future and would probably be best served by a half or full day guided
bird tour to take best advantage of the short time. Does anyone have
some advice on bird field guides, tour guides and companies and
locations etc. Anything would be very much appreciated.
Greg
