 Riet and I plan to meet my elder daughter and family, who are sailing around 
the world on their 32 ft Ægir and who now are in N.Caledonia, in Bundaberg, 
QLD, in the period 26 July to 1 August, after which Riet and I will embark on 
our planned trip through N.Australia with friends (I shall come back with more 
queries on that later). I should be most grateful, if any of you could give me 
information on a pleasant and not all too expensive place to stay during this 
period. They have a very active 1 year old, so the place must be children 
friendly  And I of course will be most content if there are birds on the 
premises or close by.  Many thanks in advance; please answer off list to
