Hi All,
If anyone is not aware Google are creating many new applications that can be
employed by birders and recently I found that they are offering to host
video-footage and webpage creation software free-of-charge (see
http://labs.google.com/)
Today I have been busy creating a website using these resources and I've
begun to post some of my old 'analogue' video-footage. At this point there
are only two species uploaded (but do contain audio), they are somewhat
'jerky' but should be quite viewable.
If you have a 'broadband' internet connection (the files are 4-7 mbytes)
take a look at http://www.aviceda.org/ and click on the 'Bird and Wildlife
Video' link (note: the menu on the left-hand side is not configured yet...I
have issues with Javascript) navigate through to the videolist and view. If
you are not happy with the resolution you should be able to change it using
the small arrow in the left-corner of the screen.
I intend to add more as I become aware of the 'upload' charges.
Enjoy,
Tom Tarrant
PS: Many of these video-clips (in WMV format) can also be found on the HBW
website at www.hbw.com/ibc
