Dear all

Visited Old Bar, few kilometres east of Taree, mid North coast, NSW, last
Tuesday 30th May with Ann Mannion. At Mud Bishop Reserve a few kms north of
Old Bar, we found quite a fw Bar-tailed Godwit, a couple of Whimbrel and a
Curlew on the mud, and in the trees at the reserve, a Drongo and Rose Robin,
Little and Scaly-breasted Lorikeets and Osprey, along with the usual
expected species. Then driving south 5 or so kms to Saltwater Beach and
Wallabi Reserve, at the latter spot there is a huge fig tree at the end of
the track inland from the parking area and lagoon, and it was full of birds
- 2 Wompoo Pigeons, Regent and Satin Bowerbirds, Torresian Crow, Figbirds
and Green Catbirds. One Wompoo was sitting quietly in part sun and the other
feeding and making no sound. I guess they'll be there for a while as
there's a great mass of fruit in the tree.
