Hi Peter
Not sure myself about the specialties but a couple of things that
might interest you.
A great place to camp was at Algebuckina Bridge. On the banks of the
river (creek/waterhole) with an old rail bridge making a striking
scene as the sunsets behind it. When we were there there were a few
other people but everyone seemed friendly. Didn't see any unusual
birds but it was a few years ago before i was as aware and
experienced as i am now (not that that is saying much!)
You will pass through Lyndhurst of course which is the place for
Chestnut-breasted Whiteface.
Peter Fuller would be the person to speak to about that - i dare say
you saw his email with a photo trip report from there.
(Great photos and web site Peter!!)
There is a dam just south of Leigh Creek where we saw Musk Duck.
The mound springs on the OOdnadatta were also worth a visit.
Fascinating. Also in nearby waterholes to there we saw good numbers
of Pink-eared Duck.
Cheers

Hi everyone,
I am heading up the Oodnadatta Track in a few weeks time. Has
anyone been there recently or know what specialities to look out
for ? Do Chestnut-breasted whitefaces occur along the track ?
Cheers,
Peter.
