I have also seen a flock of Brown Cuckoo-doves (about 20 -30 I recall
but probably more) in Copeland (NSW Hunter region, approx. 300 km north
of Sydney CBD) all feeding together on Wild Tobacco.
I have also seen Wompoo Fruit-doves flock a few times also at Copeland
SF in NSW with up to 12 birds feeding together in a fig.

Is this usual behavior for the Brown Cuckoo Doves?
About 4pm Sunday 14th a flock of about 50 B/C Doves landed into several
Flooded Gums, disturbing a Koala in the Canopy. The birds stayed for
about 10 minutes then flew off in a wheeling, silent mob, heading West.
3Kms South of Alstonville(a village just West of Ballina, North coast
NSW).
