I'll second Gum Swamp. Not that I've been to a lot of STPs to compare, but
Gum Swamp is definitely a great spot for birds. I'd forgotten that it's a
STP. If there's more like that around the place, I might have to plan my
next holiday as a STP touring trip! Perhaps my niece would like to come.
She loves STPs for some other reason no-one else can quite fathom. Nothing
to do with the birds or nice walks and so on LOL. Just the ponds treating
the waste does it for her.

Subject: Sewage Ponds
Two good sewage ponds in the central west is Parkes where most ducks can be
seen up close and Forbes Gum Swamp which is always good for Blue-billed
Ducks, both have easy access. West Wyalong Sewage Ponds is also worth a
visit but difficult to access.
