Yes - I do some work for the Water Authority here and while they talk about
sewer, etc., internally, waste water is now the more "polite" term.

Sewage is the "stuff" itself! Sewerage is the system (pipes, pumps,
treatment) that gets it away!

I can never remember the difference between sewage and sewerage (something
about one involves the pipes) so a couple of reasonable STP's in the
Riverina that haven't ben mentioned are:
Leeton - right next to (part of?) the RAMSAR-listed Fivebough Swamp, has
hides overlooking the ponds and is easily accessable.
Griffith - The most reliable spot around town for many ducks (particularly
Blue-bills and Freckled) - not certain about access (I always used to just
jump the fence) and I am ashamed to say I haven't visited since I moved back
to town.
Cheers,
Peter
