Pizzey Pg 91 gives the range of the race purpureicollis

"occupies n. part of range on n. C. York Pen. s. to about Mitchell R on w. coast and to near Cooktown in e."

HANZAB Vol 2 pg 342 states
" Qld. Throughout C York Pen. (including a few Torees Strait Islands.) N of Nassua R. in W and S through coastal and subcoastal regions to SE. Inland to Chillagoe in N and Glenmorgan in S."

I have observed race purpureicollis at Iron Range and Lockerbie Scrub and Prince of Wales Is. The pictures depicted on the HBW website Internet Bird Collection are of the nominate race lathami but have been labled purpureicollis?

Thanks to those who have responded so far for your assistance.
