Following up on a call from Rohan Clarke late yesterday Chris Coleborn, David Parker and myself headed to Lake Murphy, south west of Kerang this morning and after a couple of hours sifting through the still increasing number of Red-necked Stints there, we found the Little Stint. As you'd expect it was in a reasonably advanced stage of summer plumage. It was on the west side of the lake, as are most of the waders. Other sightings included 2 or possibly 3 Long-toed Stints, 5 Black-tailed Godwits, 1 Wood Sandpiper, a number of Spotted Crakes, Sea-Eagle, Black Falcon, and many more ducks again after the shooting has calmed down. Regards, Simon Starr. =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
